Competition
Rules of the Competition
Participants by submission of essays accept all the terms and conditions mentioned in entirety and shall abide by
the same throughout the competition.
Essays must not be longer than 4,000 words (Excluding footnotes). It must be accompanied by an abstract of not
more than 800 words. The abstract will be used by the jury for pre-selection.
Word count is required to be mentioned on the cover page.
All submissions must be typewritten in Bookman Old Style or Times New Roman, 14 Font Size, 1.5 Line
Spacing and Headings/Titles must be in Capital.
Quotes and references must be clearly marked throughout the essay (preferably in italics) and properly cited. Any
method of citation can be followed but is required to be consistent throughout the text.
Entries will be accepted only in .doc or docx MS WORD format only.
The identity of the author is not allowed to be indicated anywhere in the text. Entries should be accompanied by a
cover page with the Participant’s Name, Mailing Address, Telephone/Mobile, E-mail ID; Name and Address of the
institution including University where the student is enrolled, year of study.
The softcopy of submission shall be E-mailed to philosophy@jclawfirm.in on or before 30th January 2013.
The title of the email should be “JC Law Firm - Essay Submission”. The hardcopy of the essay along with
the Demand Draft should reach to the JC Law Firm’s Office on or before 15th February, 2013.
The participation will be confirmed only after receiving the hardcopy of the essay.

Joint submissions are not permitted.
Submissions of participants must be their ‘own work’, i.e. the submissions should not be published by or in any
other publication or medium and should not be partially or substantially copied from any other prior published
work of the participant or other authors without adequate reference in the format given in the Terms and
Conditions.
The essays submitted by the participants must be in ENGLISH language only.
The winners of the essay writing competition shall be intimated though their contact details (E-mail and / or
Mobile number) submitted by them as well as published on the JC Law Firm’s Website www.jclawfirm.in
All Essay/Article received in the competition become the property of JC Law Firm, which reserves the right to
publish the Essay/ Article in any form- electronic or print.
The Participants by entering in the contest gives JC Law Firm the right to publicize the entries without any
royalty or compensation.
The participants by entering into the competition agree to indemnify JC Law Firm from and against all claims,
suits, and damages based on any claim of copyright infringement or plagiarism or unauthorized use.
The decision of organizer is binding on all participants.
The participation fee for the Competition will be Rs. 150/-. The Participant shallpay the fee by Demand Draft of
Rs 150/- in favor of JUSTA CAUSA LEGAL ASSOCIATES LLP payable at JALGAON. The Participant shall
attach the scan copy of the Demand Draft to the email while sending the softcopy of the essay.
The Participation Certificate will be given to every Participant.
